Heart the Bland is Eleanor Bauer, Beth Gill, Chase Granoff, Jon Moniaci, and Chris Peck stretching the murky lower limits of minimal structure under which a dispersed interdisciplinary performance collective can continue to exist at all, or perhaps slowly working towards a consensus on how such an undefined collective might in fact be dissolved. Current interests include collaborator substitutions (ie. Tag Team), nontraditional/experimental/DIY approaches to telecommunication and telepresence, intentional misspelling/respelling/translation/reformatting of the group's name (❤/heart/2764/<3 the bland/brand/band), the Reply All button, and reality reality (redality rieality reiality rheality).
Since 2005, HTB has performed in New York City at Dixon Place and AUNTS events, The American Dance Festival, New Langton Arts in San Francisco, the Urbana Independent Media Center, and various venues in Chicago, Detroit, Boulder, and LA.
